Maintenance Technician

1st Shift: 6:30am - 2:30pm

2nd Shift: 2:30pm - 10:30pm

3rd Shift: 10:30pm - 6:30am

Job Description

As a Maintenance Technician, your primary role will be to troubleshoot and repair production equipment problems including powered presses, welding machines, conveyors, vision systems, camera systems, robots (material handlers and welders), and HMI’s. In addition, you will also be responsible for the maintenance of facility equipment including HVAC, compressors, electrical, lighting, plumbing, and building (ceiling, walls, floors). Your duties will also include installing new or moving existing equipment throughout the plant, using equipment books, schematics, and blueprints for setup and teardown. You will be required to complete assigned work orders, daily downtime logs, required forms, and shift communication boards.

Hard Skills

  • Troubleshooting and repairing production and facility equipment

  • Reading electrical/hydraulic schematics

  • Designing and building basic electrical circuits

  • Installing, programming, and troubleshooting Variable frequency drives (VFDs/PLCs)

  • Installing new equipment per electrical/mechanical drawings

  • Sizing and running conduit and wire based on ampacities

  • Diagnosing issues with electrical motors (3 phase and single phase)

  • Using Rockwell software to troubleshoot production equipment
