Raytheon Technologies Production Supervisor, 2nd Shift (Onsite) in West Des Moines, Iowa

This position supervises a team of support and/or production level or hourly/direct employees in Manufacturing Operations. Sets day-to-day activities and assists in managing and monitoring production operations, scheduling and personnel.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Completes and documents quality related items and ensures established quality standards are met.

  • Engages in cost reduction and process improvement activities to ensure efficiency of operations and cost effectiveness.

  • Conducts basic scheduling analysis to ensure smooth operations and optimal use of facilities.

  • Assists in sequencing of work to optimize productivity.

  • Coordinates activities for materials and logistics problem resolution of a cell to ensure availability of materials and smooth operations.

  • Monitors cell performance and productivity of a cell to maximize productivity.

  • Assists in production innovation, including additive manufacturing, of a cell to enhance the cell’s production capabilities.

  • Responsible for all or a major portion of processing operations in a plant.

  • Oversees production operations (shop floor management, workforce management, and flow disruption management), scheduling and personnel.

  • Manages and supervises the work of manufacturing production disciplines in the Operations function.

  • Performs professional or management work regularly across multiple Manufacturing disciplines.

  • Includes activities that cannot be attributed to a defined Operations discipline.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of prior relevant experience with specialized knowledge of technical or operational practices OR

  • In absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience is required

  • Must be a US Person.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience supervising a team
