\ Supply Management Specialist III\ Period: 05/30/2023 to 05/29/2024\ Location: Waterloo, IA 50704\ \ Description:\ \ Leads and/or supports a Strategic Sourcing team with the development and implementation of sourcing strategies, meeting Enterprise Product Delivery Process and Enterprise Order Fulfillment Process requirements/goals on product cost, schedule and quality for the enterprise/region/division/unit. In the Enterprise Product Delivery Process, plays a key role in integrating suppliers early in the process to optimize design and cost. Builds and develops a supply base for procuring complex and strategic materials, products, supplies and services. Coordinates and leads efforts to address chronic supplier performance issues. Duties: Ensures or manages the development and implementation of enterprise/divisional strategies, defining and integrating supply chains that support Enterprise Product Delivery Process(EPDP) and Enterprise Order Fulfillment Process (EOFP) and significantly impact enterprise financial and operational objectives. Develops, builds and maintains an ongoing relationship with assigned suppliers to monitor and improve supplier performance; measures the performance of the supplier and defines corrective actions; obtains assistance from other functional representatives such as quality, product engineering, etc. as appropriate. Leads and/or supports the negotiation of supply agreements with specific suppliers resulting in cost models, an implementation strategy and a documented agreement, ensuring the Company meets its overall goals for cost, quality, continuity of supply, etc. Collects cost data and prepares supplier cost/industry analyses. Utilizes and develops continuous improvement in terms of performance and lowest total cost with the supply base utilizing the Achieving Excellence process/criteria and other appropriate supply management tools. Works with engineers and suppliers on product specification, making recommendations to ensure a quality product at the lowest total cost and meeting cost targets; supports the Engineering Change Management (ECM) process so design changes and product improvements are implemented in a timely and cost effective manner. Leads target costing and cost management support for Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP) cost goals, focusing on Shareholder Value Added; develops and implements communication plans to key stakeholders, internally and externally. Develops, implements and improves Supply Management processes to support the Enterprise Order Fulfillment Process and Enterprise Product Delivery Process. Provides work direction and/or coaching as necessary to less experienced supply management personnel; ensures completion of administrative support to the Human Resource processes.\ \ Position Title\ Supply Management Specialist\ Specific Position Requirements\ \ \ Job duties:\ \ This role will manage and implement urgent supplier resourcing projects related to capacity to ensure consistent supply to Waterloo.\ This role will also support day to day activities related to protoype requests and/or spot buys to support production needs.\ SMS will work closely with the ETEC team in India and RX Cost Lead to generate and review cost reduction ideas and provide timely feedback.\ SMS will ensure accurate direct material forecast in the My Projects system for their respective commodity.\ SMS will work cross functionally to vet cost reduction ideas for their respective commodity, ensuring a project plan is created and planning milestones are completed on-time.\ \ Requirements:\ BA in business or another related SM field o en to recent grad candidates\ Self-starter with the ability to analyze data and lead the way through complex problems\ Strong interest in initiating and developing new relationships with suppliers and peer functional groups\ Demonstrated communication skills\ \ Stands Out:\ SAP Experience\ Experience working with suppliers
