Motrex LLC Quality Inspector in Waterloo, Iowa
Overview
Responsible for inspections, quality checks, and tests of product, process or material for all product areas as required by engineering and quality specifications and accurately reporting results/findings. Occasionally required to perform laboratory testing. Performs first piece and machine/set-up inspections, and reporting all nonconformances to identify cause and appropriate corrective action. Works within established policies, procedures, practices, and regulations.
Starting Pay: $22.45
3rd shift position
Responsibilities
Visually inspect and report defects on products produced or received and initiate appropriate quality processes.
Assure set-ups, adjustments and first piece inspections of equipment are conducted prior to starting of production runs and communicate results to needed parties. Comunicate equipment problems with production supervisor and maintenance personnel.
Report and log all defects and maintain a complete history results.
Communicate quality discrepancies with production supervisors and quality to resolve issues.
Operate equipment as requied for the task.
Conduct laboratory tests as needed.
Assist in training of newer employees.
Perform electrical, chemical, or product testing and analysis as specified and required in engineering or quality specifications and furnish the appropriate reports documenting results.
Assist in calibration and perform routine maintenance of all measuring and testing equipment.
Perform teardown/reject analysis and recommend corrective action as necessary.
Maintain a clean work area.
Appropriate use of all required PPE.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education, Experience, Certifications:
High School diploma or relevant work experience.
Previous quality assurance experience is preferred.
Previous manufacturing experience is preferred.
Competencies, Skills, Knowledge:
Math/science background.
Computer skills.
Work Environment:
Work performed in a manufacturing plant.
Will be exposed to hot, humid, or cold working conditions.
Must be able to lift 60 lbs.
