Fabrication and Welding Area SupervisorHarlan, IA$50-60K plus bonusOur Harlan, IA manufacturing client is looking to hire a Fabrication and Welding Supervisor. The Fabrication and Weld Area Supervisor will supervise and coordinate activities of manufacturing workers to safely and efficiently build and ship quality products to satisfy all customers. Performs responsibilities and duties as assigned by the General/Plant Manager. The Fabrication and Welding Area Supervisor will perform department related production scheduling, inventory management, new/existing personnel training, interview, hire, work with all departments to resolve product and quality problems, work with engineering to coordinate change orders, perform depart quality activities, ensure safety compliance and will work directly with sales and vendors on quality issues.i The Area Supervisor will strive to continuously improve our business systems.iiKey Qualifications and Requirements:May manage/supervise 0-20 employees. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of assigned areas of responsibility within the company.Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.Responsibilities:Worked in an ISO certified quality environmentSupervision experience a mustBackground in welding and fabrication strongly preferred.Safety compliance and knowledge of OSHA 10 or 30 a plusMust have experience creating written procedures, instructionsCan actively resolving customer product issuesProduction and inventory schedulingSAP a plusA.S. in Industrial Technology preferred by not requiredWorking knowledge of MS-Office ( Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook) required
