PRICE ELECTRIC is a growing, award-winning market leader, and is looking for a hardworking, team-oriented Utility Laborer to join our team. At PRICE ELECTRIC, we utilize well-maintained equipment and current technology on our well-planned and organized jobs. As a Utility Laborer, you will have the opportunity to learn how to safely operate heavy equipment, perform restoration – grading and seeding, prepare job sites, unload materials, and work on a team alongside experienced tradesmen.

Position Requirements:

  • Interest in learning how to operate heavy equipment.

  • Adherence to the PRICE ELECTRIC’s Safety Program.

  • Good work ethic and adaptable to a variety of different assignments and work locations.

  • Work out of area for extended periods (per diem provided).

  • Class A CDL and acceptable insurability preferred.

    PRICE ELECTRIC is a merit-shop with an ABC STEP Gold Safety Program. Utility Laborers must first and foremost comply with all safety processes while following leaders' direction to help the team meet high production and quality standards. This requires proven reliability and teamwork; effective communication and interaction skills with feedback, safety reports, daily logs as necessary, JHA’s, etc.; a valid driver's license and good driving record; understand and strive for customer’s satisfaction, ability to work outside in all weather conditions and occasionally work varied schedules; ability to read, learn and understand construction drawings; and a high school diploma or GED. Completed Utility Systems Technician coursework is preferred.

    Physical demands include, but are not limited to, the ability to work 40 or more hours per week; frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs. and occasional lifting of up to 80 lbs.; occasional lifting from floor to above shoulder; regular standing, walking, squatting, kneeling, sitting and/or climbing; repetitive use of hands for frequent grasping and pushing and pulling; repetitive use of feet for operating equipment and climbing; adequate balance for walking on uneven ground and climbing; and adequate vision for document reading and color coding for utilities identification.
