Staples SPP Mechanic Large Equipment 1st Shift in Orange City, Iowa

Role summary:

This position will be a full-time position.  This position would be responsible for repair and preventative maintenance of embroidery and screenprint equipment.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Preventative maintenance and repair of the embroidery and screenprint equipment

  • Maintain work bench area and parts inventory

  • Assist in new product development

  • Assist with other department or facility needs when required or time allows

What you bring to the table:

  • A mechanical aptitude, and desire to learn about hydraulics, electrical, and industrial batteries, including watering, washing, testing and repair.

  • An ability to use vendor manuals and procedures to perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting tasks

  • An inclusive approach with your colleagues and customers to forge strong relationships and foster collaboration to resolve issues

  • An ability to demonstrate analytical thinking and problem-solving

  • An ability to adopt our safety procedures quickly and ensure safe work practices

What’s needed- Basic Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or general education degree (GED)

  • 1-2 years of related experience

  • An ability to lift, push or pull boxes/merchandise weighing between 70 pounds and 100 pounds by hand

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
