Musco Lighting Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift in Muscatine, Iowa


Musco Lighting is looking a a 2nd shift Maintenance Technician to join our Team at our Muscatine, Iowa manufacturing facility. The Maintenance Technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines up to 480 volts

  • Make necessary adjustments and tooling changes to production equipment

  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities

  • Contact and work with factory service technicians remotely and in-person as necessary

  • Evaluate production tools and machinery for reliability and assess corrective measures

  • Maintain inventory and adequate supply of spare parts, tools and support equipment

  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • 10 years experience in maintenance field

  • Knowledge and experience in hydraulics, tooling, machine controls, pneumatics and electrical

  • Experience reading and utilizing schematics and technical equipment service manuals

Job Specifications:

  • Good verbal and written skills

  • Ability to work in teams

  • Computer knowledge windows, Microsoft

  • Familiar with PM systems

  • Working knowledge of lock-out/tag-out

  • Ability to work independently with little or no supervision

  • Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail

  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions


Mondays -10:00 AM - 8:00 PM

Tuesdays - Thursdays - 3:30 PM - 1:30 AM

Other Special Requirements:

  • Some overtime may be required
