Continental Added Value Production Operator in Mount Pleasant, Iowa

The Business Area ContiTech develops, produces and markets products, systems and intelligent components made from rubber, plastic, metal and textiles. These products are used in mining, the agricultural industry, railway engineering mechanical and plant engineering, the automotive industry and other important sectors of the future.

Production Operators will be responsible for one or more aspects of the finishing assembly of rubber hoses. Tasks include: verifying date codes, verifying components, securing brass fittings to hose, bailing, and strapping hose. Must be able to understand instructions whether they are written or verbal, and follow said instructions. Must complete work with accuracy and efficiency. The nature of all production positions is repetitive motions for extended periods of time.

  1. Verify date codes.

  2. Verify components.

  3. Secure brass fittings to hose,

  4. Bail and strap hose.

  5. On-time delivery of assembled product.

  6. Production of products consistent with quality control standards established.

  7. Production of products consistent with units per hour established requirements.

  8. Work with a heightened level of focus on SAFETY.

  9. Work with good housekeeping and waste management practices.

  10. Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required; previous manufacturing experience preferred.
