Job Title: FSQA Sanitation Supervisor
Location: Mason City, IA
Salary: $70,000 per annum
Company Overview: A leading food production company committed to delivering high-quality and safe food products to consumers. We are seeking a skilled and motivated FSQA Sanitation Supervisor to join our team at our Mason City, IA facility. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our facility complies with all regulatory and company standards for cleanliness and sanitation.
Job Responsibilities:
Supervise and lead the sanitation team to ensure adherence to sanitation protocols, including the cleaning and sanitizing of equipment, utensils, and production areas.
Develop and implement sanitation standard operating procedures (SSOPs) to meet and exceed food safety and quality standards.
Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify any potential sanitation issues and take immediate corrective actions as necessary.
Train and educate team members on proper sanitation practices and ensure compliance with established protocols.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production and quality assurance, to create a culture of food safety and maintain a high level of cleanliness throughout the facility.
Manage and maintain inventory of sanitation supplies and equipment, ensuring availability and proper usage.
Stay up to date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to continuously improve sanitation processes.
Assist in the development and implementation of sanitation audits, including internal and external inspections, to ensure compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.
Provide timely reports and documentation related to sanitation activities, including cleaning schedules, compliance records, and corrective actions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field OR Minimum of 5 years of experience in food manufacturing or production, with a focus on sanitation and quality assurance.
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations (FDA, USDA, etc.) and experience with implementing and maintaining food safety management systems (HACCP, SQF, etc.).
Proven experience in leading and managing a sanitation team, including training and development.
Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate sanitation requirements to all levels of the organization.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
