PURPOSE OF POSITION
Have an understanding of the different paints and chemicals, and the respective processes required to paint correct parts, components, and products as scheduled according to the supervisor.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
More specifically, the person will:
Make sure all chemicals are stored, used, and disposed of properly.
Paint all required products correctly, and with exceptional quality.
Assist in ordering paint and paint related equipment, as needed.
Clean and maintain paint booth and equipment.
Change thinner and paint when necessary.
Color code product when specified.
Record manometer readings and paint waste daily.
Ensure all parts and components are accurate according to specifications.
Perform general housekeeping and maintenance on equipment.
Perform extra assignments in other areas and related task assignments within the work area.
Regular, consistent attendance.

Strong commitment to quality and working safely.
Ability to read various measuring devices (e.g., measuring tape, manometer, micrometer, etc.).
Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. Basic computer skills preferred.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to read/interpret/follow instructions regarding workplace documentation, such as SOP’s, Operator Manuals, Work Instructions, etc.
EDUCATION – EXPERIENCE – COMPUTER SKILLS
High school diploma or a general education degree (GED); or
one to three months related experience and/or training; or
equivalent combination of education and experience.
TRAINING – CERTIFICATIONS – LICENSES
Continually participate in additional training related to the job.

The noise level in the work environment is LOUD.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Specific hearing abilities required by this job include the ability to hear alarms of equipment, and the ability to hear instructions from others.
Steel toe shoes, safety glasses, rubber gloves, grinding shield, hoist, and hearing protection required where posted.
