Project Manager Industrial Insulation


Responsible for overseeing insulation projects as well as expanding the insulation portion of the company. Monitor and evaluate job progress from startup through completion. Evaluate employee performance in regard to job classification, promotions and etc. Develop yearly workload projections and aid in establishing annual budgets. Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of designated project to ensure that goals or objectives of project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned as required by customer demand.

  • Reviews data to determine material and labor requirements and prepares itemized lists.

  • Track the job progress and give percent complete for job costing each week.

  • If job is running over budget, determine reason and implement corrective actions.

  • Consults with clients, vendors, or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.

  • Contact potential new customers to create sales opportunities.

  • Discuss employee performance with job foreman regarding attendance, increase in skills and production, and other considerations in order to evaluate employees for possible promotion to next skill classification.

  • Work in conjunction with the Safety/Human Resource Director in response to employee problems, concerns, discipline, and other matters.

  • Perform QA/QC inspections to ensure the quality of the job, and that our performance and operations are running according to the project plan.

  • Reviews project proposal or plan to determine time frame, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project.

  • Establishes work plan and staffing for each phase of project, and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel.

  • Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.

  • Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.


    · Required: 5+ years construction PM experience with $500k+ commercial, industrial, or federal projects

    · Required: Expert in construction project management, financials, processes, and administration.

    · Required: Strong written and oral communication skills.

    · Preferred: ERP experience (Sage, SAP, etc.)

    · Preferred: OSHA 30, CPR and First Aid certifications.

    · Preferred Bi-lingual is a plus.
