Job Description

We are in search of a dedicated and mechanically inclined Machine Operator to join our team. In this role, you will have the overall line responsibility from production to packaging. You will operate the computer system that works our bottle machines, stack finished products, monitor production, and pull samples for the lab. In addition, you will be required to record production and problems encountered during your shift, ensuring goods are produced and packaged in correct quantity and in accordance with agreed specifications. You will work to ensure that the team is efficient and works together harmoniously. Regularly standing, walking, and reaching will be part of your daily tasks. You will be expected to lift 10 lbs regularly, 30 lbs frequently and occasionally up to 50 lbs.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Iowa City, Iowa.

Work Environment

Our company specializes in the manufacturing of bottles and caps for products such as shampoo, conditioner, mouth wash, hand soap, etc. The dress code includes steel-toed boots, long pants, jeans or khakis, and a t-shirt. We will provide ear plugs, hair nets, and other necessary items. You will be required to follow GMP guidelines. Our shifts are 12-hour switch shifts - 2 on 2 off, 3 on 3 off. The shift times are A/C and B/D: 6:00pm-6:30am. Please note, there will be a 30-day probationary period during which you will receive training from 6 AM - 6 PM, 2 on 2 off 3 on 3 off
