Axalta Coating Systems Polymer Technician in Fort Madison, Iowa
Required to perform a variety of duties such as:
Monitor and operate equipment and facilities, including field equipment, ensuring quality and conformance with standard operating procedures.
Maintain safety standards at all times and initiates and follows emergency procedures when necessary.
Fill product into tank wagons and other smaller containers
Perform required in process and final quality tests
Perform minor maintenance functions within their operating area and within their level of expertise.
Rotate through various roles within the area of responsibility & be available to work overtime
Perform computer transactions that are required of the role
Work in a self managed team environment with Lead Operator’s
All Process Operator / Polymer Technician job opportunities will work a 7 day a week 12-hour rotating shift schedule (Average 42hr. /wk.)
Hourly wage rate of $22.00/ hr. after 6 months with potential to progress within 30 months after initial training and qualification to an annual base earning of greater than $60,000 plus shift differential and built-in scheduled overtime.

Indoor and outdoor working conditions; Hot, cold, and radiation hazards
Works a 24/7 12 hr. rotating shift schedule (12 hours on and 12 hours off, 2 days on 2 days off, 3 days on 3 days off)
In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Must possess a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
It is preferred that qualified candidates possess the following skill sets:
Previous manufacturing experience
Previous experience operating fork trucks
Working knowledge of personal computers
A two year Associate Degree or the equivalent
Capability to learn quickly and work in a self directed team environment
