A Material Replenishment Specialist is needed for an American corporation that manufactures agricultural, construction, and forestry machinery, diesel engines, drivetrains (axles, transmissions, gearboxes) used in heavy equipment, and lawn care equipment in the Dubuque, IA area. The Material Replenishment Specialist optimizes material flow and inventory management to boost efficiency and reduce costs in a manufacturing facility.

salary: $17.25 - 27.21 per hour

work hours: 8am to 4pm

responsibilities:

  • Establish strategies for material flow and movement of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.

  • Optimize material movement to increase productivity, reduce inventory levels, and improve inventory accuracy.

  • Evaluate current logistics flow for slow-moving vs. fast-moving materials within the facility.

  • Perform root cause analysis to identify issues and determine corrective actions for material replenishment and flow.

  • Establish and monitor line-side inventory levels and presentation.

  • Plan material replenishment strategies to support varying production levels, improve inventory accuracy, and minimize material handling costs.

  • Create triggers based on raw material or finished goods replenishment cycles and lead times.

  • Determine correct inventory locations for raw materials and finished goods.

  • Plan raw material and in-process storage strategies.

  • Serve as the expert for SAP Warehouse Management, determining zones for warehouse locations and setting system parameters.

Skills:

  • strong communication skills.

  • Experience in SAP Material Flow modules.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

  • Understanding of company Production Systems, Lean Manufacturing, Just-in-Time and/or?Demand Flow Technology.

  • Knowledge of material flow and visual management.

  • Knowledge of Kanban and other delivery methods.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business, Engineering, Supply Management, or related fields.

  • 1 or more years of Manufacturing and/or Operations experience.

  • 1 or more years of work experience in a team environment.
