Description:

Welders will be welding and building structural components for grain bins, catwalks, stairways, handrails and support structures.

•Welder I persons produce and assemble steel structures and equipment •Essential Job Functions & Expected Outcomes: Your Accountabilities in the Role

•Assembly, gathering, and welding of steel material

•Ability to understand and complete work reading blueprints

•Operate hand tools such as grinders, drills, impacts per job requirements

•Ability to follow safety requirements while performing all work duties

•Emphasize goals of meeting or beating project deadlines to meet production requirements and demands

•Ensure work meets quality requirements as determined by quality control and production supervision

•Maintain and help improve department performance metrics of on time, complete, and error free

•Ability to operate overhead crane/unloading of raw material

•Performance of 5S duties, record keeping of scrap, housekeeping, and trash removal from work cell

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

•Functional Skills: Ability to read and interpret blueprint drawings

•Ability to read tape measure to ensure accuracy

•Ability and willingness to learn to fabricate
