Des Moines Public Schools is seeking an Service Mechanic.Job Summary:Perform automotive corrective, preventative and service maintenance on District vehicles and equipment.Successful candidates for this position will possess:High School Diploma, HiSET or GED.Vocational certification or relevant qualifications as determined by the districtTheoretical and practical working knowledge of automotive mechanicsAbility to obtain Commercial Driver's License (CDL) within a 60-day period.Highly Qualified Candidates for the position will possess:Five years of recent, relevant experience in an automotive service garagePosition Details:260 Days8.00 hours Salary: $24.82 per hourBasic Tool Kit will be provided$250.00 Shoe allowanceDes Moines Public Schools offers agenerous benefits package including:
