ICON Strategic Solutions Senior Clinical Supplies Specialist - Inventory Specialist in Des Moines, Iowa
As a Inventory Control Specialist you will be joining the world’s largest & most comprehensive clinical research organisation, powered by healthcare intelligence.
Must be local to PA to be onsite for 1-2 days weekly in the future.
Looking for someone with some inventory experience and Business analytics.
Heavy experince with excel needed for this role.
What Will you be doing?
The Inventory Control Specialist works as part of a team to align Demand & Supply Plans for Clinical Drug Supply Packaging.
They release, distribution and support the planning, sourcing, and inventory management of common materials.
This role is remote now but could require 1-2 days onsite in the future in the Philadelphia area.
Day to Day Functions
Generate and manage activity schedules
Coordinate master schedules deliverables with external partners
Facilitate Scheduler Forums
Monitor timelines and communications
Generate reports to monitor schedule adherence
Define and establish metrics, measure and compare against benchmarks, monitor change control, and continuously optimize process
Maintain Business Rules and Standard Cycle Times
Support the global inventory management of bulk drug product, primary packaged drug product, clinical packaged supplies and packaging components
Manage the destruction of obsolete Investigational materials
Monitor supplied components at packaging vendors sites and schedule component movements to meet demand
Monitor component shipment and release timing for components shipped overseas
Co-ordinate Sampling and Expiry extensions
Education and Work Experience:
Bachelor degree highly preferred but experience may be substituted.
1-5 years of relevant experience required
Experience in clinical development and/or clinical supplies nice to have but not required.
Supply chain, logistics, or operations knowledge
Strong detail oriented, time management skills.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Detail-oriented
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft applications; ERP are highly desirable
Proven organization skills
Strong ability to multi-task
Understanding of cGMPs
