This role will manage Iron Mountain’s growing powered industrial truck (PIT) fleet. This role will be critical in developing and maintaining a PIT program that manages the procurement, maintenance, and disposition of Iron Mountains PIT’s. This role will partner with field operations management to plan and coordinate the implementation of programs and initiatives across all business lines. This position will manage Iron Mountains PIT fleet vendor relationships.

Functional Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:

  • Provide leadership and guidance for Iron Mountain Operations with core focus on Powered Industrial Truck use and maintenance.

  • The Manager will be responsible for ensuring communication is thorough and consistent. They will be directly involved with any issue resolution that needs to be completed. They will work very closely with the District Manager and field leaders.

  • Manage Powered Industrial Truck maintenance program.

  • Ability to apply decisions, and to think in broad terms, considering the impact of decisions across the entire company.

  • Ability to interact effectively at all levels within the Iron Mountain Enterprise.

  • Excellent written, oral and formal presentation skills.

  • Demonstrated success in business process re-engineering, ability to produce enduring, effective solutions to business problems; benchmarking, project management, strong analytical problem solving skills, and action-oriented with the ability to deliver timely and positive results.

Business Expertise: Manager must have the ability to analyze data to drive cost out of the business through the Powered Industrial Truck fleet. Must have the ability to track and identify cost savings to the P&L and communicate with field leadership. Individual should have basic P&L knowledge and understand the relationship between activity revenue and daily cost (Service Margin).

Leadership: Manager will have the ability to guide field leadership through change management. They must possess the communication skills to clearly articulate the need and reasoning for program and process changes.

Problem Solving: Manager must have the ability to solve business and personnel problems quickly and effectively.

Nature of Impact: This role will drive cost efficiencies by managing Iron Mountains Powered Industrial Truck fleet. This position will support field leadership in the administration and maintenance of the PIT fleet.

Area of Impact: Direct impact on local field leadership and within all regions across North America.

Interpersonal Skills: This role requires a large amount of telephone and email communication with different areas within Iron Mountain (field leadership, transportation support, I.E., business office) at varying levels of Iron Mountain’s organization. They must be timely and complete when responding to questions and concerns. They must also consistently demonstrate clear, concise and professional verbal and written communications, and strong personal organization skills. They must be able to lead a team aligned to the same visions and drive improvement to service margin.

Travel Requirements: 40-50% Overnight travel

Qualifications: Associate’s Degree with 5-8 years of experience managing a PIT program
