EFCO is looking for a detail-oriented, self-driven individual that would be responsible for managing part schedules and nesting metal parts to be cut in a CNC Laser or Plasma. A candidate would also need to train others using working knowledge of manufacturing policies, processes, and procedures. This role will supervise plasma and laser operators.
Duties include
Creating and optimizing programs for an 6K Watt Bystronic C02 Laser, 10K Watt Bystronic Fiber Laser, Alltra Plasma Cutter.
Communicate with Laser/Plasma operators and other supervisors to address issues and prioritize work in a daily basis.
Works with operations, engineering, and operators to develop corrective and preventative actions to solve manufacturing related quality problems.
Leads and promotes efforts to help mature a lean manufacturing and quality excellence culture. May serve as a mentor.
Optimize programming strategies to improve quality and increase productivity.
Performs other job-related duties and special projects as required including but not limited to writing proposals and suggesting changes in current processes.
Job Requirements
Technical Degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent work experience. 5+ years of proven experience programming and setting-up CO2 and fiber Laser. Background in manufacturing environment required. Management or leadership experience required. Knowledge in Microsoft Office, a plus. Excellent communication, problem solving and PC skills are required. Must work well with people with the ability to plan in detail and consistently meet tight timelines. Must be a problem solver and work effectively under pressure, exercise good judgment, and demonstrate negotiating skills. Some Travel required.
Final candidates will be required to pass a post-offer pre-employment physical and drug screen.
