Animal Rescue League of Iowa Facilities Technician in Des Moines, Iowa

The Animal Rescue League of Iowa (ARL) is seeking a full-time Facilities Technician to join the Facilities team! This position plays a vital role in providing essential maintenance and repair services that ensure the functionality of facilities and equipment, thereby, supporting the care and safety of animals and staff at all ARL locations.

Key Responsibilities include performing maintenance and repair of shelter buildings, vehicles, equipment at all ARL locations, resolving repair requests, maintaining a secure work environment, collaborating with various departments to uphold building conditions, and collaborating with the Grounds and Crematory team to assist in the maintenance of grounds, exercise areas, sidewalks, and other walking areas, as needed.
We are seeking qualified candidates who have a High School diploma or GED and 2 years of experience in facilities upkeep and management. A qualified candidate will also be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, have strong communication skills and openness to new ideas, is a self-motivated team player and someone with a commitment to fostering a positive, supportive culture at the ARL.
