Job Description

Our Sourcing team partner with the business to ensure efficient acquisition of goods and services that enables the commercialization of our medicines, vaccines and Animal Health products. We collaborate internationally and are grouped into center-led categories and regional operating teams.

Position Description:

The Corporate Card & Payments Lead is a Senior Specialist role that sits within the Travel Meetings Card & Fleet Procurement and Program Design team. The role reports to the Director, Payments Services Procurement and Program Design and is accountable for Supporting our Company’s Global Corporate Card program, Supply Chain Finance program and other payments initiatives, in alignment with global strategy. The role will work in partnership with Travel, Meeting & Fleet Operations, Procurement, Finance, Treasury, Economic Inclusion & Supplier Diversity, and other relevant regional business partners and stakeholders. Specifically, the responsibilities of the role involve the following:

  • Strategy Development: The role is a core team member of the Payments team and is accountable for

Supporting the strategy development, implementation, and monitoring of the Corporate Card and Supply Chain Finance (SCF) strategy. You will be accountable for clearly representing region requirements, unique attributes, issues, and other statistics to ensure strategies consider and address local nuances specifications. You will be align directly with the Travel, Meetings, Card & Fleet Program Design Directors, Regional Procurement and the Economic Inclusion & Supplier Diversity team.

  • Program Management: Support regional implementations and optimization efforts in partnership with the Card Program Administrators. Drive efficiencies in regional operations by supporting internal and external supplier communications; reducing corporate card delinquency rates; establishing and reporting on Supply Chain program metrics. Serve as escalation point for card-related questions. Provide leadership and guidance to the Card Program Administrator in terms of best practice, program enhancements, process improvements etc.

  • Stakeholder Management and Alignment: Support Management with local / regional stakeholder engagement by providing data, reports and other solutions related to Supply Chain Finance operations. Support Collaboration with other regional business functions (Finance, Treasury, Source-to-Settle, Compliance, etc.) for initiatives, developing and Supporting stakeholder initiatives, supporting profit planning process and facilitating achievement of business goals.

  • Working closely with Economic Inclusion & Supplier Diversity team, Support the strategy and rollout of a Supply Chain Finance program to our Suppliers. Educate internal stakeholders on the value of the program; work with suppliers to align on value to their respective organizations. Support supplier onboarding process and continuous improvement activities.

  • Model and measure effectiveness of the Supply Chain Finance program in terms of impact to Cash Conversion Cycle, as well as increased spend with Small & Diverse Suppliers

Position Qualifications :

Education Minimum:

  • Undergraduate Completion

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum of five (5) or more years in in corporate card administration, business analysis, finance, or related strategic procurement or Analytical/Business Intelligence role or three years with an advanced degree

  • Very strong analytical skills, reporting and data management skills

  • Experience with various spend analytics tools

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint

  • Strong communications and influencing skills

  • Proven ability to Collaborate with a wide variety of individuals, including senior management, stakeholders, team members, other departments and suppliers

  • Proven ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a dynamic environment

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • MBA or other advanced degree in relevant field

  • Experience in Pharmaceutical-related payments operations

  • Experience in implementing corporate card programs

  • Six sigma training or green or black belt qualification a plus

  • Broad base payments category knowledge

  • Working Knowledge of Concur Expense Management Software

  • Experience using R, Stata or JMP
