Raytheon Technologies Maintenance Mechanic II - 2nd Shift **$2,000 Sign On Bonus** (Onsite) in Decorah, Iowa

2nd Shift : Monday-Friday (Onsite)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Required to use hand tools and power tools to assist in preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on mechanical, electrical and pneumatic equipment and systems; including automated wire stretcher, fill ovens, immersion baths, automated conformal spray and selective solder machines.

  • Timeliness completion of preventative work orders and logs which may require operating company vehicles, handling environmental equipment and performing hazardous waste recycling.

  • Under limited supervision, performs a variety of routine and simplistic facilities maintenance duties in company buildings and surrounding property; including painting, general repairs, furniture moves and snow removal on sidewalks.

  • Maintaining and recommending spare parts.

  • Other duties as assigned.

    Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 2 years of relevant experience is required. (Preferred Education - AA/AS in Industrial Technology of Computer Technology)

  • May be standing for 8+ hours and may be required to lift/move heavy parts and/or equipment weighing up to 55 pounds.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

  • Overtime eligible

  • Electrical, Mechanical and Pneumatic equipment experience.

  • The ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Attention to detail in order to ensure safety and quality.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.

  • Intermediate computer skills in terms of typing, navigating screens and learning new software programs.

  • Demonstrated analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.

  • The ability to effectively work with and take direction from more experienced coworkers, supervisors and production managers.

  • The ability to successfully complete training modules associated with job grade.

  • The ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Preferred Education - AA/AS in Industrial Technology of Computer Technology

  • Experience with PLC programming preferred.

    This position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with FAA guidelines. Candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing per FAA’s regulation 14 CFR part 120, as well as 49 CFR part 40.
