Rate of pay: new hire $25.62 per hour; $26.79 after probationary period has been met. Current employees covered by the bargaining unit contract please refer to the salary schedule in the Bargaining Contract.Duties & Responsibilities: (Essential Functions of Position, Major Responsibilities, Summary of Key Duties, Special Assignments, Relationships)
Responds to work order requests, make repairs, changes, etc. with minimal supervision
Performs all types of PM’s to HVAC equipment including changing belts on RTU fan motors, washing condensing coils and evaporator coils, greasing bearings, changing condenser fan motors, etc..
Performs welding and fabrication projects and repairs as required.
Helps the Garage Tech with equipment repair and maintenance as needed.
Must be able to operate a forklift, tractor and other equipment as needed.
Works with the Utility Team Leader on grounds upkeep and sports field maintenance.
Must be able to work as a team with the other Technicians in the Maintenance Department.
May be required to plow snow off hours as needed.
Must have mechanical abilities and be able to understand and troubleshoot a variety of mechanical and electrical equipment.
Must have the ability to operate large tractors with 16’ gang mowers.
Ability to learn procedures and processes quickly and adapt to an ever changing working environment.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.
Physical Requirements of Position:
Must be able to lift 70 lbs.
Able to walk up and down stairs and work from step ladders, extension ladders, scaffold and lifts.
Ability to work in a variety of environments including heights, outdoors in adverse weather and in confined spaces.
Ability to climb, balance, stoop or kneel frequently.

High School graduate
Proven ability to be a positive force in a competitive work environment.

Excellent driving record and valid drivers’ license required.
Criminal record verification required.
Excellent communication abilities with supervisors and fellow employees.
Able to follow oral and written instructions.
Work shift may vary based on the needs of the District.
