Eaton Corporation Internship: Mechanical Engineering - Davenport, IA in Davenport, Iowa
What you’ll do:
Designs, develops, and analyses mechanical structures, systems & equipment.
The Engineering Team Member is responsible for applying discipline domain expertise to the design, development, and delivery new products processes and technologies.
The Engineering Team Member will typically be part of an Integrated Product Team (IPT) and will contribute to the performance of the IPT to ensure that the technical expectations are met or exceeded.
The Engineering Team Member shall employ the appropriate discipline processes, practices, and tools to ensure that responsibilities are completed to meet the required project requirements.
Collaboration with IPT members to address project requirements.
Applies standard engineering principles to well defined problems of basic complexity.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop new products and execute the necessary program plans required to ensure that product development requirements are met.
Participate in component testing, data acquisition setup, performance testing, and system assembly.
Research and develop new related technologies as needed.
Qualifications:
Required/Basic Qualifications:
Junior or senior status in college and currently working towards a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
Relocation is not provided for this role, the candidate must be located within 50 miles of Davenport, IA.
Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher (please don't round).
This position requires the use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with problem solving.
Experience presenting technical information to non-technical audiences.
Experience writing test plans, procedures, and reports.
