As a Buyer, you will review and issue purchase-orders and make necessary changes to include: obtaining quotes, negotiating costs, payment terms, and related issues.

Responsibilities and accountabilities include, and can evolve from:

• Procure a variety of goods and services in accordance with company policies in an MRP/ERP environment

• Review and issue purchase-orders and make necessary changes, including obtaining quotes, and negotiating costs, payment terms, and related issues

• Expedite and track required parts or processes to support production schedules

• Assist with executing engineering changes within the plant and with external suppliers

• Serve as liaison between internal customers and suppliers

• Assist in resolving supplier related quality issues

Requirements

Minimum requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree without industry experience, or Associate's Degree plus 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, or High School Diploma (or equivalent) plus 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment

Candidates offering strengths as follows will stand out:

• Previous negotiation and purchasing experience

• Previous purchasing experiencing in a manufacturing environment

• Working knowledge of ERP or MRP Systems

• Experience reading blueprints

• Proficient and advanced MS Office experience: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

• Any current relevant professional certifications

• Demonstrated verbal, written, and presentation skills

• Proven ability to work well in a dynamic team environment
