Hourly Rate: $22.24 an hour

Job Summary :
The Sauce Cook will perform a variety of responsibilities including but not limited preparing, mixing, and cooking sauces according to approved recipes and formulas promptly, filling out all required Government and Company documentation, inspection of work environment including equipment adjustments, completing all required audits and tests according to company procedure ensuring good housekeeping and 5S standards are met.
Starting pay up to $22.24 per hour + Attendance Bonus! ($0.50 for first shift and $0.60 for second shift)
You will work onsite at the facility located in Council Bluffs, Iowa. As a pasta cook, you will report to the operations team.
Essential Job Functions:
Work the scheduled/assigned times and required overtime for position
Read, write, communicate, and comprehend written instructions in English
Work individually and with others as a team at all levels
Intermediate math skills
Basic knowledge of computers including email
Complete work requests for the correction of defects and improvements
Lift up to 50 lbs repetitively
Willing to work in hot humid heat
Job Responsibilities:
Complete and return all required documentation (e.g., HACCP, SSOP, or Usage) in English
Inspect work environment for defects before startup (e.g., infusers, kettles, cooling system) ensuring notification upon discovery (e.g., QA, Supervisor, and Maintenance)
Complete daily scale audit in English to ensure usage and prepare and adjust equipment for startup
Verify ingredients and safely transfer all ingredients to kitchen using PIT ensuring good housekeeping and 5S standards are met
Review requisition and batch sheets to ensure all items and quantities received are correct
Perform viscosity and temperature checks and record the results in English following company standards
Ensure sauce sample is taken according to company procedure, Attend daily/weekly DDS meetings
Ensure all changeover activities are complete including returning ingredients, disposing of trash, and cleaning and sanitizing equipment
Skills Required:
Knowledge of GMP's and food allergens
Be HACCP Certified, PIT Certified, and LOTO Certified
Identify Critical Control Points (CCP)Read a thermometer
Read a thermometer
Knowledge of the 5S concept
Work with pork, chicken, beef and shellfish products in addition to many other ingredients and allergens
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or GED.
Experience: 3 months production or related experience preferred.
