We’re seeking a Heavy Equipment Shop Technician who loves a challenge and wants the opportunity to grow with a fast-paced company. We're looking to help grow our leadership team in the shop and are looking for someone with extensive experience in the shop technician and mechanic fields.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Maintains a high technician utilization with minimal idle time

  • Performs diagnostic and repairs on heavy construction equipment

  • Driver to and from job site to repair heavy construction equipment

  • Repairs are completed correctly the first time, with no service redo’s

  • Works efficiently to do a good job in a minimum amount of time

  • Completes all paperwork and reporting; insures all paperwork is submitted within the allowed timeframes, and with complete information

  • Inspects equipment and reports to Manager and /or Customer when additional repairs are required, preventing possible customer dissatisfaction and increasing Service Department revenue opportunities

  • Assist team members or Managers as needed

  • Observes the company’s safety standards in accordance with OSHA and state regulations.

  • Develops and maintains relationships with current customers.

  • Be proactive and assist in the process to solve any customer problem or situation.

  • All other duties related to the position and other requested by supervisor.

    Skills & Qualifications

  • An associate’s degree or trade school certification in Diesel mechanics or other heavy equipment machinery; or at least 6 months prior experience in technician role.

  • Must have excellent attention to detail.

  • Work with the service team to manage work orders and make sure work is completed in a timely fashion.

  • Be able to communicate with customers about issues and timelines regarding equipment.
