Overview:

Responsible for the safe and efficient day-to-day Refinery or Packaging production operations. Support the Plant Manager and Refinery Manager in monitoring and improving plant productivity.

Essential Duties:

• Cultivate a safety culture where unsafe acts are not tolerated and employees and management have a common goal of zero injuries.
• Lead all aspects of assigned facility refinery production activities to ensure operations are running at the highest levels of efficiency.
• Run monthly sanitation inspections and lead, monitor and ensure corrective actions are completed as necessary.
• Track and report facility efficiency improvements
• Approve daily reports and KPRs for all areas of the refinery
• Support and develop Refinery staff in operations issues and trouble shooting.
• Assist the Plant Manager and Refinery Manager in planning annual shutdowns
• Oversee the Process Safety Management programs
• Work with the Safety/Environmental Manager to ensure compliance in all aspects
• Responsible for developing and driving Operations Excellence Plans to help meet safety, quality and production goals and show continuous improvement facility wide.
• Support the continuous improvement activities and act as a change agent for any changes that occur in the facility.
• Monitor KPR\'s throughout the facility and help develop plans to bring teams in line with Operations Excellence goals.
• Participate in daily production meetings to remain informed and ensure that the activities of all production operations management are aligned.
• Monitor and lead product yields
• Participate in new employee selection process
• Assist Supervisors with personnel issues by participating in investigations and recommending corrective actions as necessary.

Qualifications/ Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience (or equivalent combination of education and years of experience) in soybean crushing, oil refining, oil packaging operations, or related and applicable activities
• High School graduate or equivalent required
• Bachelor\'s degree in engineering or a related field is preferred
• Proficiency with basic computer skills, including Lotus Notes, Microsoft Word and other technical software packages, as needed

Standard (On-call 24/7 as needed)
