This position is for a Sr. Quality Assurance Technician for the Coralville Manufacturing Facility. The qualified individual will conduct basic quality analyses and inspections on electronic assemblies. Assists in analyzing corrective actions and process reengineering. Prepare Quality Assurance materials with product design and specifications.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Reads and interprets complicated blueprints and specifications, including customer and vendor specifications

• Performs product/process audits

• Identifies causes of rejects and ensures corrective action is taken

• Sets-up instruments (mechanically or electrically) for inspection

• Uses mechanical and electrical measuring tools such as CMM and Optical Comparators

• Performs critical first-piece inspections

• May train other technicians/inspectors

• Determines unstated or hidden dimensions from a blueprint, working with fractions, decimals, and other math skills

• Calibrates measuring instruments using standards; administers the calibration activities

• Administers the raw material testing and verification program

• Under a Quality Engineer's supervision facilitates project completion

• Performs other related duties as required

• Must be able to perform work under a microscope

Qualifications/ Experience Needed:

• Typically requires HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience

• Must be a U.S. Citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience or exposure as an inspector for in-process or final acceptance

• Experience or exposure interpreting assembly drawings, workmanship standards

• Ability to manage multiple priorities at once
