Job Description
Provides technical support to Operations in the form of enabling and improving the flow of product through manufacturing utilizing the disciplines of industrial and mechanical engineering. Assignments range from straight forward and reactionary in nature to complex and strategic. Uses independent judgment to make decisions in day-to-day job responsibilities the majority of the time under general supervision of experienced engineer.
Responsible for technical problem definition and solution in manufacturing environment. Interfaces with design engineering on incorporating changes to the designs which improve manufacturability.
Determines the most efficient sequence of operations and work flow, and establishes methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel
Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control through the application of Lean principles.

Prepares cost estimates for proposed projects and evaluates cost factors.
Perform assignments requiring use and application of standard engineering economics and product development principles and techniques.
Assignments usually consist of providing engineering economics support (cost estimates, facilitating achievement of cost requirements/targets) on stand-alone product development efforts.
Plan, execute(facilitate) and document engineering economics challenges.
Maintain awareness of the technological state-of-the-art and of the Company's competitive position in the assigned area.
Understands and considers how facility design and layout form a non-fracturing processes and equipment affect economic factors, process flow, operator efficiency and comfort in performance of job duties.
Solves IE problems of various levels of complexity.
Analyze and interpret systems requirements and definition data to the extent necessary to proactively apply engineering economics principles.

Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100%of the time.
In this position, you will participate in BAE Systems' nationwide LEAP Internship & Co-op Program, where you will Learn, Engage, Apply, and Progress within the company. The LEAP Program will provide you with the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals on impactful projects, engage in career development opportunities, and network with our business leaders and the other students in the program.

In the process of obtaining a 4 technical degree completed sophomore year or later.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $39395 - $53165
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
Temporary employees generally are not eligible for BAE Systems benefits, but can elect to participate in the 401(k) savings plan. Temporary employees working 20 hours per week are eligible for medical benefits, the employee assistance program, and business travel accident insurance.
