This unique position working in our MICRO-electronics lab supports internal and external customer funded programs. In addition to working on industry leading technology you would be a key member of the team that develops new processes, test and analyzes results and creates advanced parts in the MICRO-electronics

This role will be performed ONSITE in at our Collins Aerospace location in Cedar Rapids, IA.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Successful applicant must be able to assist the engineering research and technology development effort in the areas of plating, wet etching, dicing, bonding, laminating, sputtering and general micro-fab processes. 

• Successful candidate must be able to work independently, take initiative, and be able to provide innovative and creative solutions to complex problems.

• Applicant must be able to work well with a structured schedule and meeting time commitments.

• Successful applicant must be able to work effectively managing multiple tasks, process steps and understand the flow of work.

• This role is Monday through Friday from 3:30 PM to12:00 AM

Qualifications/ Experience Needed:

• Typically requires HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience

• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of photolithography and electroplating (preferred) 

• Mechanical ability- use of manual hand tools and power tools (required)

• Knowledge of chemical processing, background in using chemical combinations and storage. (required)

• Ability to lift 50lbs (required)

The salary range for this role is 36,000 USD - 72,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
