Summary
If you are a motivated student with skills and interest in electromagnetics, RF, analog, and semiconductors, our Skyworks Cedar Rapids, IA design center is looking for you! As home to an elite team of top RF professionals, you will work side by side with a mentor and grow your skills working on real products. Our Cedar Rapids location specializes in RF connectivity products covering a range of solutions, end markets and applications. This is a very exciting opportunity for those who have ambition for professional growth and a desire to contribute to Skyworks success. Your job function will include but not be limited to measuring and simulating RF circuits while helping to improve the performance of new designs in a fast-paced environment.
Job Description
You will support design and test evaluations, along with data validation of multi-chip-modules with integrated power amplifiers, switches, acoustic filters, LNAs, and CMOS controllers
Requires a strong background in RF and Microwave design
Knowledgeable in RF testing and RF equipment setup. Good data summary and presentation skills
Performs RF tests, evaluates, summarizes, and presents data to design engineers
Assists design using RF modeling tools, and production team using test data summary
Understanding RF parameters and the ability to communicate effectively along with debugging experience is a must-have
Must have the ability to complete a 6-month Co-op term prior to graduation. Term is Summer/Fall 2024(June/July - December)
Job Requirements
Must be currently enrolled in an Electrical Engineering BS or MS program, and be returning to school after the completion of this Co-Op
Strong background in RF and Microwave design
Knowledge in RF parameters (insertion loss, return loss, harmonics, IMD, IIP2/3, VSWR, NF, etc.)
RFIC Design and Simulation experience will be a plus
Experience in using RF equipment such as oscilloscope, VNA, spectrum analyzer, RF sources
Good communication and presentation skills
The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
