Tri-City Electric Project Scheduler in Cedar Rapids, Iowa
Tri-City Electric Co. is currently seeking a Project Scheduler for an immediate opening in Cedar Rapids, IA. The Project Scheduler will be responsible for setting project goals and deadlines, estimating labor needs, draft schedules for staff, and communicating timelines to all departments.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Schedule Development - Develop detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 based on project requirements, scope, and constraints
Resource Allocation - Coordinate with project teams to allocate resources efficiently, including labor, equipment, and materials, to meet project milestones and deadlines
Critical Path Analysis - Identify critical path activities and potential bottlenecks in the project schedule, and propose solutions to mitigate risks and delays
Progress Monitoring - Monitor and track project progress against the schedule, identifying deviations and variances, and take proactive measures to address issues and maintain schedule adherence
Communication - Communicate schedule updates, progress reports, and potential impacts on project timelines to project stakeholders, including project managers, clients, and subcontractors
Risk Management - Identify and assess schedule risks and develop contingency plans to minimize disruptions and maintain project schedule integrity.
Collaboration - Collaborate with project teams to resolve scheduling conflicts, optimize sequencing of activities, and streamline construction processes to improve project efficiency
Documentation - Maintain accurate and up-to-date project schedules, including revisions, change orders, and as-built schedules, in accordance with project requirements and company standards
Qualifications:
High school diploma with some college
Minimum of 2 years’ experience related to Construction Project Scheduling(Critical Path Method)
Experience with Primavera P6
Candidates must possess strong attention to detail, focus on accuracy, solid communication skills, positive initiative and judgement, the ability to problem solve and meet deadlines, self-motivation and be organized.
