Job Title: Production Operator

Job Description

Join our team as a 1st and 3rd shift Production Operator in the Nutritional Department. In this role, you will ensure that our product is processed and packaged correctly and promptly. This position requires a range of knowledge and skills, as you will perform sanitation on various areas, monitor quality assurance controls during production, carry out product analysis, maintain accurate records, follow safety and food safety rules, operate equipment, inspect infrastructure, and assist in troubleshooting. Although you will operate a forklift occasionally, prior certification is not required.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Work Environment

Our production facility is an automated plant where safety is our top priority. The environment can get hot, exceeding 100 degrees in the production room. You must be comfortable with standing for 12 hours and handling the heat. Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and outside weather conditions is part of the job. The work schedule alternates between two days on and two days off, three days on and three days off, which means you will work every other weekend. Shifts run from 6am-6pm or 6pm - 6am. Dress code includes steel toe boots, lab coat/pants, hair/beard net, safety glasses, and gloves.
