Motion is seeking a self-motivated, detailed-oriented person to serve as a part time Technical Services/Quality Technician under the direction of the Technical Services Manager. This position is responsible for evaluating returned products, obtaining prints for orders, creating CAD files, and documenting results of material reviews.
To be successful in this role, the part time Technical Services/Quality Technician should demonstrate a sound understand of engineering terminology and be able to work well in a team. Outstanding Technical Services/Quality Technicians are self-starters with an insatiable curiosity, superb work ethic, and strong interpersonal skills. Responsibilities
Learn Apache products, processes, and customer expectations to make solid decisions concerning product acceptance.
Evaluate returned products, determine and document failure causes, advise credit and material disposition.
Document and communicate results of inspections, audits, material reviews, and investigations.
Obtain or create CAD files and prints required for orders.
Maintain and update Apache print log.
Assist with belt and hose testing as needed to verify product conformance to agreed standards.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, work instructions, quality procedures, work orders, and engineering prints.
Ability to use measurement devices and test equipment to verify product throughout all stages of production.
Experience with manufacturing software; AutoCAD, and ERP systems.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (PP, Word, Excel, Outlook)
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, Quality Management Systems, ISO 9000, process improvement, and warehouse methods.
Must be able to lift heavy packages (maximum 75 lbs.), standing or walking much of the day, bending over and kneeling, climbing stairs, and pushing or pulling product.
Education and/or Experience
Associates degree in related field or five years’ experience in manufacturing/quality assurance environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
