Job Title: Fiber Optic Installer
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Fiber Optic Installer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing fiber optic cables and other utilities. You will operate various equipment and may also perform manual digging when necessary. The equipment you may use includes skid loaders, mini excavators, directional boring machines, and locating equipment.
Responsibilities
Install fiber optic cables and other utilities.
Operate equipment such as skid loaders, mini excavators, directional boring machines, and locating equipment.
Perform manual digging as required.
Direct other crew members during installations.
Operate the directional bore machine.
Splice fiber as needed.
Essential Skills
Experience in fiber installation.
Proficiency with mini excavators.
General construction and landscaping skills.
Ability to use hand tools.
Minimum of one year working outdoors.
Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Directional boring experience is highly desirable.
Willingness to travel is ideal.
Ability to splice fiber.

Work Environment
This position involves working outdoors in various weather conditions, including hot, cold, and rainy days. Work is only called off in severe weather or persistent rain. You will be installing utility lines in these conditions.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $34.00/hr.
