Aerotek General Production Worker in CASCADE, Iowa


Cascade Mfg has two different departments. The Steel Shop and the Wood Shop. Based on their current needs will determine which department they will be placed in. Qualifications are the same for both shops.

Candidates will be hired for potential 3 different roles. Catcher, Builder, or Stacker. The majority of their needs will be builders.

Builder: Assembles the trusses, pre-cut, and label them. They will work off a print to put together the right truss based on the work order. They will set a jig up and tack the plates. Ability to read a tape measure to 16th's of an inch is very important and being able to use a hammer and staple gun. They will need to crawl on their knees sometimes to tack the board depending on the measurement. Some employees will wear knee pads in this case.

Stacker: In charge of standing the truss up right once it is complete in their yard. They might work hand in hand with the forklift operator in this case.

Catcher: Candidate will work with the saw operator and catch the wood off the machine once it is cut to the proper measurement. They will be reading a carpenter square to check angles. They will also be stacking it on a pallet then and labeling it. These are long boards keep in my so it can be physical.
