Job Title: Plumbing Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a Plumbing Technician with at least 6 months' experience or familiarity with plumbing, electrical, or construction skilled labor/mechanical aptitude. The ideal candidate will assist journeyman licensed technicians with new installation piping and heating and cooling units in new construction residential, multi-family, and light industrial buildings. You must have experience with soldering and be comfortable bending, crouching, kneeling, and lifting 100+ lbs as needed with a team member.
Responsibilities
Assist journeyman technicians with delivery, installation, and troubleshooting of pipes and plumbing equipment.
Assist with power vacuuming of pipes, cleaning up job site, and lifting/moving units.
Utilize tools such as Impact Drill, Sawzaw, Wire Strippers, lighted level, Phillips and flat screwdrivers, 8 oz hammer, drywall saw, ¼ Malco bit, 4’’ bit adapter for impact drill, headlamp or flashlight, and channel locks.
Essential Skills
Experience with soldering.
Mechanical aptitude with familiarity in plumbing, electrical, or construction skilled labor.
1+ year plumber helper experience or mechanical/construction aptitude.
Ability to use impact driver and basic hand tools.
Valid driver's license.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Knowledge in HVAC, electrical troubleshooting, repair, gauge, blueprint reading.
Mechanically inclined with experience in skilled trades.

Work Environment
Our team-oriented environment is very busy, and once trained, you will be required to take on-call shifts every 6 weeks, which are compensated. We operate Monday to Friday from 7 AM to 5 PM, with the potential for 60+ hours per week due to new projects. You will be paired with a journeyman and start your day either on the job site or at the shop address. The dress code includes jeans, work boots, and a work-appropriate t-shirt, which we will provide. Basic hand tools are necessary for this role.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Ankeny, Iowa.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45000.00 - $75000.00
