Job Description:

• Perform complex welding assignments independently

• Perform practical application of shop mathematics to do layouts and plan work

• Set up and operate oxyacetylene torch and plasma cutter for all types of tasks

• Perform checks for quality during fabrication by visual inspections, using true square or center gauging, measuring, and comparing print specifications, documented tolerances, or verbal instructions

• Drive and operate trucks, forklifts, and boom lifts after receiving training and when authorized

• Run multi-conductor wire

• Bend and fit conduit and encoders - will actually run all of the wiring for the product

Skills Needed:

• MIG welding

• Fabrication - at least 2 years of experience within this field

• Operating welding equipment

• Shop mathematics

• Oxyacetylene torch operation

• Plasma cutting

• Visual inspection for quality

• Operating power and hand tools

• Driving trucks, forklifts, and boom lifts

Work Site and Environment:

• This is a fully on-site position in AMES, Iowa

• Working with around 20 others within the shop

• Monday-Friday, 7:00-4:00 pm

• Overtime required!
