Aerotek General Laborer in Altoona, Iowa

NOW HIRING FOR GENERAL LABORER IN DES MOINES, IA AND SURROUNDING AREAS

JOB DUTIES :

  • Assist journeyman technicians with delivery, installation, and troubleshooting heating and cooling equipment.

  • They are doing all new installation, so majority of workload will be delivery and installation.

  • Assist with power vacuuming of furnace systems, cleaning up job site, lift/move the units, etc.

  • Must be comfortable bending, crouching, kneeling, and lifting 100+ lbs as needed with team member.

  • Must have the following tools day one: Impact Drill, Sawzaw, Wire Strippers, lighted level, John Stone Screw Driver and phillips flat screw driver, 8 oz hammer, drywall saw, ¼ malco bit, 4’’ bit adapter for impact drill, headlamp or flashlight, channel locks.

  • Drivers license strongly preferred; but opening up the requirements to consider candidates who don't have one but can get themselves to and from job sites on time daily due to being in desperate need for help.

  • $ 15.00 - 18.00 /hour

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Comfortable bending, crouching, kneeling, and lifting 100+ lbs with team mate.

  • 6+ month's familiarity with heating cooling installation (residential or commercial) OR mechanical experience.

  • Access to basic tool set.
