Job Title: Project Coordinator/Estimator Division: Precision Pulley & Idler

Job Status: Full Time Travel Required: 0-10%

Revision Date: December 2020 Reports To: Service Center Manager


Project Coordinator is the main point of contact with customers for purposes of handling product quotations, order processing and other customer service-related issues.


The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

More specifically, the employee owner will:

  • Be the main point of contact for all customers within the assigned territory for purposes of providing quotes, receiving and processing orders and other customer service-related items.

  • Communicate with shop for various projects.

  • Answer all calls in a timely manner to ensure the customer receives prompts attention.

  • Ensure timely completion of quotations.

  • Develop and maintain resource information on products, vendors, subcontractors, etc.

  • Work with vendors and subcontractors to quote projects.

  • Create, process and deliver quotations for PPI products.

  • Receive and process orders for PPI products.

  • Enter all necessary order information into the system.

  • Process and enter change orders as soon as they are received.

  • Communicate expedited delivery requests to all appropriate PPI departments.

  • Must learn and possess strong product and system knowledge.

  • Must maintain good communications with customers within the assigned territory.

  • Communicate regularly with all Territory, Area and Regional Sales managers.

  • Provide backup to other Project Coordinators/Estimators as needed and able.

  • High school diploma or a general education degree (GED); or

  • One to three months related experience and/or training; or

  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Must be able to frequently stoop/bend.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision.

  • Specific hearing abilities required for this job include the ability to hear equipment alarms and the ability to hear instructions from others.

  • Must be able to travel by vehicle or plane up to 50% of the workday when required. Travel less than 10% of the time and all travel will require approval by Service Center Manager.


  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

  • While performing the duties of the job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions.

  • Steel-toe safety shoes, safety glasses and hearing protection when in production areas.
